چکیده
Aim: The purpose of morphological studies was to study pathogenetic mechanisms the therapeutic effect HIFU ablation on hepatic echinococcosis. Material and methods: Ablation echinococcal cysts alveococcal liver lesions no larger than 5 cm in size with high-intensity focused ultrasound performed JC Focused Ultrasound Therapeutic System (China). Biopsy material masses 37 patients after HIFU-ablation were taken for light-optical electron microscopic studies. Results: Protoscolexes lost their superficial syncytial layer, parenchyma looked vacuolized, disembodied heads suckers hooks fragmented separated from body. Small vacuolization hyaloplasm, homogenization membranes mitochondrial matrix, blurring organelle contours parenchymatous protoscolex cells observed. Laminar shells brood capsules larvocysts echinococcus homogenized ruptured, germinative sloughed off. laminar germinal sheaths alveolar vesicles irregularly thickened, unfolded, surrounded by necrotized structureless masses. Destructively altered stem calcareous calcium corpuscles laryngeal membrane observed microscopically. Conclusion: Morphological data revealed destructive mature forms hydatid liver, as well safety selected optimal power surrounding tissue, which explains absence recurrence confirms high effectiveness a minimally invasive method treatment growths certain acceptable sizes.

Factors Affecting Tumor Ablation during High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Treatment
BACKGROUND/AIMS High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) utilizes a targeted extracorporeal focused ultrasound beam to ablate neoplastic pancreatic tissue. We used an in vitro model to examine the effects of bone, metallic stents, plastic stents, metal plates, and cyst-like lesions on HIFU treatment. METHODS HIFU was delivered to the phantom models implanted with foreign bodies, and the locat...
متن کاملNumerical Study for Optimizing Parameters of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound-Induced Thermal Field during Liver Tumor Ablation: HIFU Simulator
Introduction High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is considered a noninvasive and effective technique for tumor ablation. Frequency and acoustic power are the most effective parameters for temperature distribution and the extent of tissue damage. The aim of this study was to optimize the operating transducer parameters such as frequency and input power in order to acquire suitable temperatu...
متن کاملFast algorithm in estimating high intensity focused ultrasound induced lesions
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) has been emerging as a new and effective modality in non-invasive thermal ablation for cancers and solid tumours. Although a theoretical model is available for calculating thermal field and the consequent lesion production, its computation is too time-consuming (~ 1 day) for HIFU treatment planning on the site. In this study, several approximations were ...

INTRODUCTION Curative treatments for localized prostate cancer, from least invasive to most invasive, include brachytherapy, cryosurgery, three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, external beam radiation therapy, and radical prostatectomy. A patient with localized, low risk or intermediate risk prostate cancer who is diagnosed at an early age and receives one of these treatments has only a...
